Cataloging
The aim of the Swiss RISM is to inventory the largest number of musical sources and to make them accessible to the public. The work is organized according to specific projects. In the projects, the sources are documented and, if necessary, transferred into non-acid boxes.
RISM operates as a service. Projects are developed and implemented in collaboration with the institutions (libraries, archives, monasteries) that own the sources. RISM is currently involved in projects with the following institutions: the Swiss National Library (music collection, e.g., the Eugen Huber collectoin) and the Cantonal Library Viadana St. Gallen (collection F. F. Huber). Another cataloging project, managed by the RISM, is the Repertory of 19th century's swiss composers, which will index all the sources of 52 Swiss composers of the time.
